Wet Paint’s mission is to match artists with the right materials and supplies so they can successfully fulfill their creative expression.

We do this by offering over 35,000 items to meet the needs of all creative folks at any level of intention.  Our large staff of practicing artists understands art, artists and art materials – We’re eager to help you select the right tools to realize your vision.    We also invite you to learn and be inspired about these materials through Wet Paint’s in-store events, newsletters and website & social media postings.

We’re passionate about the products we sell at Wet Paint.  We’re committed to searching out the new, unique and indispensable products bigger companies may overlook.  Our professional staff of 17 has over 215 combined years in the art materials business.  Let us share our excitement with you. We have been welcoming neighbors and enthusiasts, professionals  and students since our doors first opened in 1976 on St. Paul’s Grand Avenue.  Today our community has expanded to include customers from around the world who regularly visit us at www.wetpaintart.com.

Our commitment to artists isn’t limited to just the tools of the trade.  As a locally owned and operated business, Wet Paint actively supports programs, exhibitions and educational opportunities throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
